Gal. 5:22-6:2; Lk. 10:19-21

“I thank thee, O Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, that Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in Thy sight [Lk. 10:21]: behold the judgment of our Lord over conventional human wisdom.

And this judgment comes true as we speak.  The truth in the Divine Scripture is revealed to everyone, and modern “clever men” read it, but fail to understand.  It remains only to wonder: how simple and clear it is, and yet, as if blinded, they imagine something totally different from what is actually written.   Little children do see and understand, while the “clever men” do not.

─ Who, me??  Out of question!

─ Well, your choice.  Remain as you are, wise and clever, but knowing nothing substantial, wandering among illusions and specters of your own making which rob you of your vision, so that you pretend to see but in fact are “blind, and cannot see afar off” [2Pet. 2:9], as if looking through heavy mist.   Therefore, you cannot find the road, cannot see the goal, endlessly going round after round, driven by your proud self-deception.  Deliver us, O Lord, from such a horrible condition!...
